Itinerary of Tibet Excursion Tour in Detail |

Day 01 : Kathmandu (130m) -NYALAMU (3700m) -23kms. Early morning
drive from kathmandu to kodari (approx 6hrs). Over night in
Nyalambu. |

Day 02 : NAYALAMBU-XEGAR (4,350m):214kms Drive (Approx 7 hrs) to
xegar crossing two spectacular passes -NAYALAMBU PASS
(3800M) and LALUNGLA PASS (5082M).This drive offers
fantastic view of the high mountains including Mount Everest
(8848m). Over night in Xegar. |

Day 03 : XEGAR - XIGATSE (3900M): 244kms. Drive (Approx 7 hrs) to
reach Xigatse, the place of famous Tashilunpo Monastery asd
seat of Panchen lama untill his death in 1989 with its huge
thanka wall whgich is clearly visible from the north side of
the road. En- route you visit SAKYA MONASTERY , provided the
road condition is good. The monastery is 26 kms off from the
main road and it is oldest and most important BONPO
MONASTERY. Overnight at Xigatse. |

Day 04 : XIGATSE - GYANTSE (3950M):90 kms in the morning visit the
TASHILUNPO MONASTERY and the free bazaar of zigatse. After
lunch EMBARK on a pleasant two hours drive to GYANTSE. Here
you visit the KHUMBUM STUPA and PHALKOR MONASTERY. Overnight
in the GYANTSE. |

Day 05 : GYANTSE - LHASA (3650M): 261 kms The drive to LHASA takes
eight hours crossing two passes the KAROLA (5010m) and
KAMBALA (4794m) passes and lake YAMDROK TSO (Turkuoise
lake). You will cross the YUARLUNG TSAGPO(Brahamaputra river
and see the distant view of POTALA PALACE .Over night at the
hotel. |

Day 06 - 07 : LHASA sight seeing tour .
Visit of Lhasa including JOKHANG TEMPLE , BARKHOR BAZAAR ,
POTALA PALACE , NORBULINKA PALACE DERPUNG AND SERA
MONASTERY.over night at the hotel. |

Day 08 : LHASA - KATHMANDU .
Transfer to gongar GONGAAR airport which takes about two
hours driving the flight duration is one hour. |
